| My child and her friends have key cards which are carried in card holders mounted on the backs of their phones. My daughter's key card holder has the school logo on it. Nobody seems to have lanyards unless they are employed by the school (admissions tour guides etc.). |
Most universities use a keycard. This is what my daughter and ask if her friends use to store it in. https://www.amazon.com/Stretchy-Adhesive-Sticker-Samsung-Smartphones-Dark/dp/B0824JJT3F/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?crid=4U0E31HPKNI2&keywords=key+card+holder+for+phone+slip&qid=1683683996&sprefix=key+card+holder+for+phone+slip%2Caps%2C126&sr=8-5 |
No college student is going to walk around with a personalized water bottle. They’ll all get merch at orientation, including water bottles with school logo.
$15 Grub Hub or Uber gifts cards |
| Both universities that mine attend gave incoming freshmen lanyards for their student IDs and dorm keycards. They have to swipe to get into the building and then their individual dorm room doors have a key lock entry. |
| Personally, I'd go with $$$$$. Kids aren't going to remember to pack that gift you gift them and if they do they won't use it. $$$$ will always come in handy. |
Agree! The last thing the environment needs is more unused plastic junk from China. |
Not unless you know the exact brand, size, lid type and color that they want and whether they want their name and school logo slapped on it. And good water bottles are much more than 12. I would do a small decorative item with the school logo or a Starbucks card. |

Card swipe no keys.
If you know where they are going gift them a gift card at their school bookstore. Most are now digital / QR codes, can’t be lost, and the other pp who is worried about China can rest assured. |
| Etched drinking glasses with college map/name/logo and kid name/monogram. |
Yes perfect for elementary school. |
