This is good. |
Go for the outdoorsy vibe for look and branding — the antidote to the murse curse.
https://packhacker.com/travel-gear/patagonia/atom-sling/ I have one of these but only use it when it’s too warm for a vest or jacket, and always use the vest/jacket pockets instead in cooler weather. I find that pockets are easier to use than any bag — it’s just that I often need to carry more stuff (thick wallet/keys/phone/bandana/sunscreen, even tablet+charger) than I can stuff into shirt pockets + pants pockets. |
Me again. Here’s what I’d get for a teen boy: https://www.timbuk2.com/products/1107-micro-classic-messenger-bag? |
That is to say, for an adult son, you may want to look a bit more upscale. But if he’s an adult, why are you considering getting him a murse? Some men are into it and others aren’t, I wouldn’t buy it without discussion it with the person. |
Men like to carry things like chargers and cables, maybe a bottle of water, umbrella or even a. Tablet or switch. So nothing too small. |
I travel all of the time and have never needed a bag. Why do people feel they need all of this stuff. Shocked at the number of day packs I see in tourist carrying in European cities.
I have my phone with a magnetic a wallet case. Cloth wipe for my glasses, in which I wrap twi camera lenses for my phone Prescriptions Two small power banks. Depending on where we are I may bring Matador droplet stuff sack in case we buy several small things or go to a market. I don’t really see what else you may need. |
What grown man carries a switch while sightseeing?? Or tablet?
Lots of men don't bother with umbrellas. |
Y'all are a ridiculous bunch of pearl clutchers.
OP, it's fine. I see guys carrying these types of bags around all the time and don't think twice. The link isn't a purse per se, but I also think it's fine if a man wants to carry a purse around. Who effin cares in this day and age? |
Op did not mention sight seeing I’m 100% sure the “phone and battery pack” carrying dude is cribbing off his DW or GF’s purse, or just spends frivolously on water, etc when out of the house. |
No need to “crib” off wife’s purse, and when traveling she rarely it ever carries a purse. Spending frivolously on water? Have no idea why you would assume that. I also don’t understand people obsession with carrying a water bottle everywhere. And what are you doing after you go through the first 16-24 oz of water in your magical bottle. |
this stuff is pretty popular in europe these days. Over here, its mostly girls wearing fanny packs cross-body, but plenty of guys in europe do as well |
NP, We found a water fountain. Even water from a bathroom tap, whe pressed on a hot day with no store in sight. |
I really wish it would be more acceptable for men to use these. Now that my husband finally has a 'satchel' (leather and rugged as hell) I don't have to carry all his extra crap in my purse when we are out walking around. There are some really beautiful leather ones out there, OP - check Etsy as well. |
My son carries a lightweight canvas messenger bag he picked out from Amazon. DH uses a slim Chrome messenger bag. I get to put my things in with theirs. It’s a nice change of pace when we’re out all day walking. |
Or get a husband that doesn’t carry around a bunch of useless crap. |
