New dog won’t stop following me

I have one too. She is now 8. She still follows me into the bathroom and is mostly in the same room as me but she isn’t underfoot anymore. She will go to bed with one of the kids now and stay there most of the night. She does sit by the window and wait if I’m not home and I can’t be behind a closed door unless she is with me.
