The ubiquitous Toyota RAV4 Prime is made in Japan. Lots of Japanese cars are made in Japan. |
| Cars take money- new or old. We had so many things fixed that were never fixed. Happens all the time and all the arguing doesn't help at all. They have no idea how to fix the electric windows and so on. The less extras the car has, the better. I bet they can't even find mechanic. A good mechanic can probably make more money working for themself. |
No. Very few “Japanese” cars sold in the US are actually made in Japan these days. |
There have already been a dozen Japanese cars listed in this thread made in Japan. What is your infatuation with the "Japanese cars are made in the US narrative?" Whoever mentioned the Toyota Prius, heck, that captures enough DC vehicle share to illustrate that yes, many of the vehicles made on our streets, get on a ship from Japan and are transported here. Heck EVERY taxi I see. |
Don't ask me why, but my son is fascinated with Nissan manufacturing so I know from his desire to get a high end Nissan one day that many Nissans are still imported. (He searches car dealership lots by the manufacturer origin data on the dealership websites before we drive across the state to see a new GTR). So here are some Nissans made in Japan. The high-end 370Z and GT-R are produced at the Tochigi Plant in Kaminokawa, Tochigi. Crossover SUVs Rogue and Murano, Versa and Cube, along with the sporty 350Z, are produced at the Oppama Plant in Yokosuka City, Kanagawa. |
| How is a broken air bag sensor not covered by the warranty?? I would escalate as far as you can go. |
+1 and it's news to me about "things under the seat". We have big water bottles rolling under seats all the time. Car manufacturers test for that. They are not stupidly making delicate wires under the seats. |
