Yes, I was there, and it was lovely.

I'm terribly sorry to harsh your mellow, but the capacity at MSG is only 20,000.

Led Zeppelin 1977 at the old Chicago Stadium. Every song!

And yes there were tons of drugs and booze!

Paul Oakenfold at Nation. He did a remix of Led Zeppelin's Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, then mixed it into MLK's I Have a Dream speech.

David Bowie and Trent Reznor performing "Hallo Spaceboy" together in the 90's.
Beyond cool!

I saw them at the Spectrum I’m Philadelphia, possibly the same tour!

He wasn’t really famous yet, but we all knew we were seeing something really cool. It was a year or so before he was declared “the future of rock and roll” but none of us there that night needed a reporter to tell us what we were seeing with our own eyes.

Wow! One of my favorites was seeing him open with Purple Rain the week Prince died.

"One" by Metallica during their 1997 concert tour.

I saw them in 2005. Good show, for a stadium show.

I saw The Roots in Central Park as the sun set in June 2000. Black Star made a surprise appearance and did Definition.

I was a senior in HS and life was amazing.

The White Stripes performing Jolene. It was raw and electrifying.

Chris Whitley opening for Tom Petty. We had never heard of him at that point. He sang “Dust Radio” and it was pretty much a religious experience. Gone far too soon.
