| I was heavily bullied by 2 coworkers at my first job out of college. I was 22 and they were in their 50s. I didn't want to go to my boss as I was embarrassed. It got so bad that I was having panic attacks Sundays thinking about having to go to work on Monday. Eventually went to my boss and nothing happened. With my now DHs encouragement and support I quit my job with no notice (had references from the doctor I worked under and his support as well as another doctor's). If I had been older I wouldn't have stayed for as long as I did. I still find it weird 15 years later that two grown ass women bullied me. |

I was a government contractor and the federal client bullied me and others on my team. She had a reputation in the agency, but we had absolutely no recourse - even the fellow feds did not want to be her target.
She is one of those women who gets off on bullying women but enjoys "collaborating" with men. |
| YES at a big agency in the federal government. It was awful. I had no idea people could say things so terrible out in the open at work. I only lasted 18months and it took a toll on my mental health. I started documenting things but did not report it until I had another job- I had zero confidence there was any competence in HR or in leadership. I witnessed antisemitic statements, anti-gay statements, racist statements, etc... it was truly awful. |
