Op here. Thank you all. Yes, so guests are to wear their “vote” or guess.

Wear the green to “vote” that gender is a social construct, not images on an ultrasound, and assigning colors based on body parts is stupid. And that gender reveal parties are tacky AF, telling your guests what to wear is also tacky AF and doing both is capitalized Tacky AF Squared. Also be sure to film the reveal so if/when something explodes, catches fire, breaks, or otherwise goes painfully wrong you have some social media content.

Or if you don’t feel that way and are happy to attend, wear something else that’s blue or pink.

Here’s the dress I have, it’s just a sundress I purchased last year:

I usually categorize turquoise with blue and teal with green FWIW. But this is my first gender reveal and I’m not sure if turquoise is acceptable or appropriate.

Looks green to me.

A gender reveal? Why are you assuming the child’s gender? It may well be something other than the gender they are assigned at birth.

Yes. Between this and the Santorini party, cringe.

Do you think you have any of these types of color blindness?

What a mean, hateful comment to a perfectly reasonable question. Are you angry because you’re a bad friend and no one invites you to their gender reveals?

Ha I have never been to a gender reveal but that’s because my friends are adults.

Do you have something pink? Pretend that's your guess.

Bless you, OP. You have high maintenance friends.

Did the mom also make you pay for her to require her bridesmaids to go off to a weekend in Vegas?

The dress is green.

Just say no to attention-seeking gender reveal party invites. Especially ones that tell you how to dress.
