How far would you commute for a kid's activity?

After school practice, 15 min max one way, maybe 3x week Weekend games: 1 hr max one way and I wouldn’t do that long of a drive more than twice per month. Up to 2 hrs if it was a really big one time thing like a championship Game/tournament/meet
Luckily all our activities are super close; within 5 min from us. So they are able to play their sports daily since it is so convenient. Games have been within an hour on weekends but not every weekend. |

| It depends on the kid's age and level of commitment. Young, 10 minutes worked pretty well. As the got older, that stopped working. Not every activity is convenient to everywhere and some of the top teams in given sports can be a hike |

| It depends... 15-20 mins for most activities (esp. on weekdays). For something they really like and is harder to come by (e.g. horse riding) or where finding the "right" instructor/team that fits your child is important we might be willing to go farther, but fortunately thus far we've been lucky to find good (or "good enough") fits amongst the options that are relatively close to home. |

| Elementary..20min max. But most of our activities are in the 15-20min range so I do a lot of driving. |

| Depends on the activity and the choices. I'm not going to drive past 6 soccer teams to a particular one without VERY good reason. But if my kid gets involved in say ,... synchronized swimming or something random that isn't at every local park, I'd probably drive further. |

If you live in DC almost all barns are that far? Rock Creek doesn't have a lot going on there. |
