That’s very interesting. The email was clearly stated that if you cannot provide proof, the students application would be reevaluated and possibly admission rescinded. I guess the students scored high enough on the rubric without needing the FARMS bonus points? Have you heard of any students who had their offer rescinded because they could not provide proof of eligibility? |

I have heard of this, but not sure. There are two issues- How many people really knew about this, and of those how many would follow through knowing it wasn't the intent of the question? People on here were just guessing that others took advantage of this, because the opportunity is there. When they eventually required documentation, it was revealed that it was easy to cheat that, just hand in a form to the school. In this case, it may have been that talking about it on this forum led more people to be aware of it and caused more cheating. A third possibility is they did not want to kick out students and lower their FARMS number, so they just gave the impression of taking it seriously. |
