And how to we even know the teacher is guilty?

Read the article. And how do we know she’s innocent? Detectives found months of evidence. She’s been arrested, charged and held without bond but will let the courts do their thing. However, isn’t it sad that within FCPS that this is a headline we see multiple times each year? How many similar cases this school year?

Let’s deal in reality not defend a system that’s clearly broken despite a massive budget.

Posts like this reinforce my belief that there is a club of “Liberty Psycho Moms” where points are distributed for stupid posts likes this. The more posts you make designed to trash and dismantle FCPS and other public school systems, the more points you get. If you get enough points, you can trade them in for things like Trump steaks and Kim Guilfoyle make-up kits.

I'm just so glad there is someone else here who thinks like I do. I know I should just never come back, but I need to keep reminding myself that people like this really do exist. It must be exhausting to be mad at the world 24/7.

Has it occurred to you that it could b e a troll?

I'm a conservative voter, and I posted earlier that while I don't care for Dr. Reid, this is not on her.

So because she’s arrested, she’s guilty?
This is not a new problem. Illegal and immoral teacher/student relations have been going on for decades. There is no budgetary correlation.

For me, somebody who is not a member of a jury determining her guilt or innocence? Yes. (NP)

Well, it’s a good thing you’re not on the jury. These things we’re leaving to go to court and are settled before a trial.

Do you understand the difference between deciding innocence as a matter of criminal law and having a personal opinion that can be supported with facts?

Yup, and I bet it is fewer than ten posters, probably the same idiots on Twitter.

There has been no debate here about that.

Exactly. It happened in 2019 in a LCPS school and the teacher was just awarded $5mil earlier this year.

Anyone know how many years in prison if the allegations are proven correct?

Has she only taught at Madison?

No. I forget where, but she was also at at least one other school. I think it was elementary. I googled it.

“She has been a learning disabilities teacher with Fairfax County Public Schools since 2016.“

Seven years. It’s horrifying.

7 years employed by FCPS. She had the opportunity to teach hundreds of the most vulnerable students in FCPS.

I looked up her Virginia Teaching License. She has a Masters' degree and is certified (according to VDOE) for PK-6 students. Her license is listed as valid through 2031. It looks like she lives in a $1mllion house.

She is being held w/o bond, so I think the evidence is pretty damning.

I looked her up too. It appears she lives in a condo purchased in 2021, not a million dollar house.

What other schools did she work at?

My children have been in several schools in FCPS in special education and I cannot be expected to remember every teacher/aide/specialist they have had. It would be wise if parents were notified if their child had been around this teacher.
