Kristi Noem

Why do Republican women think this look is so great? It's very outdated.

About looks alone with no comment on her politics, i think she visually looks great in the clip, and better than in her official photo which was taken prior. The official photo looks slightly uneven or nonsymmetrical to me.

I dont like the sexism existing which seems to be that a female HAS to be attractive to get anywhere in politics, where there are lots and lots of male elected officials who are chubby, bald, aging, etc and no one says anything about their looks as they focus solely on their policies and record. (Sure it can help to be a hot male running for office, but hotness sure doesn't seem to be a requirement the same way as for women.)

As a female I support treating men and women the same in this regard.

I am personally definitely interested in beauty advice, steps, options etc to look and feel my best. Have done and continue to do so.

Is this a real post? Do you hear yourself? “She looks amazing in the video where she’s done so many procedures she no longer looks like a human being! But ignoring political party, we are sexist towards women in politics and expect them to be pretty! Wahhh”

Lady, there’s only one political party that expects its women to look like robot beauty pageant winners from space, while the men can be fat turds.

The other party expects them all to look like attractive but normal people (who get a little Botox and a little nip tuck) regardless of gender.

DP. You're kidding yourself if this is how you think the "other party" is represented.

Just for context, I grew up in an NRA home back in the 70s and 80s and even then it was not unusual for gun people to give their very young children their very first guns at an early age. Obviously they only get to use them with very close supervision in a responsible gun nut household, but nevertheless the process of normalizing guns and gun culture begins just as early as the process of passing on bigotry and other values which parents do as soon as a kid can converse and form basic understanding. Why would you wait if they are your sincerely held values? It’s important to grasp how not extraordinary this parenting seems to people in this mindset.

For reference, here is her photo from Wikipedia, which is probably her official governor photo:

Is this her real hair or a wig?

The hair stood out to me as much as the changes to her face. When I googled photos of her, there are several with the long waves but aren't as dramatic. I think the black blouse and dark makeup combine with the hair for an Elvira vibe.

She looks great! Props to her for taking care of herself and having pride in how she presents herself.

I’ve met her a few times….she’s stunning in person. She wears a lot of makeup but she wears it well.

This is her during her reign as the 1990 South Dakota Snow Queen.

Now she’s one of numerous Republican women who are the political world’s Kardashians.
