It was critically acclaimed but not a blockbuster. I suppose she was standing up to the man, but she cost herself a ton of work that would have come her way after that. Seems stupid.

Anyway, when she really lost me was when she was complaining about her Netflix deal and comparing her contract to, if I remember correctly, Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, and Amy Schumer. She isn’t even in the same league as any of them, so why would her pay be?

I watched 15 min of her special. They should call it a one-person show or something. It was not funny but also wasn’t trying to be, it seemed. She seemed to be working through experiences from her childhood etc. it was more storytelling not comedy. Which is fine but don’t pull people in by making them think it will be funny. It was not.

After watching and listening to several interviews of her, I completely agree with her. Maybe she couldn't afford to do the extra appearances at her own expense. That's what they wanted from her. And then, she fulfilled her contractual obligations, and she was still labeled as "difficult" by Tyler Perry and others. Tyler Perry admitted that he told people she was "difficult."

I'm a white woman in my early 50s. I have also been labeled as "difficult" under very similar circumstances.

I must disagree; Amy Schumer is in now way in the the same league as truly famous and talented comedians such as Dave Chapelle.
