Why is metro scheduling so screwed up?

Six people is still about 50% more than the average hourly use of a typical bike lane.

The billions we waste on boondoggle transportation projects is staggering.

How does free work? I haven’t ridden in a long time but don’t they have a card to scan in and out?

Lol. You definitely haven’t ridden in a long time. Take a field trip to a metro entrance sometime and watch half the riders jumping the gates and not paying

However, I suspect the real reason is that most of these transit nerds don’t have regular jobs and it’s really about making it more convenient for them to go around during the day. Like most transportation policy nowadays, things are moving away from promoting and maximizing use for the greater number/good and towards rewarding niche groups. In this case it might just be urban planning grad students whose first class on campus starts at 11 AM.

That's all you got? Transportation nerds are unemployed and unemployable and thus that is why WMATA is not running additional service during rush? I guffawed.

You won't believe this, but there are people that don't follow the rules. You can even drive without a license.
