Millie Bobby Brown engaged

Here's an article on parents. It's easy to skim.
- they prioritized her career over welfare of other kids
- uprooted from UK to US for MBB
- ran out of money and had to move back
- Father "demanded" $100k from agents once she landed Stranger Things
- Allowed an old YouTube influencer to move into their house and groom MBB

They're too young to get married. Maybe they'll be friends with Brooklyn and Petra or whatever his wife's name is.

Can you give the quick version?

In the early 2010s her dad brought the entire family (her, her mom, him & her 3 siblings) over from the UK in hopes of her becoming an actress. At that point, her oldest sister was a teenager. They aren’t wealthy. She tries out for acting roles for a few years, doesn’t get much work and they live off (financially) whatever she makes. At one point, just before she got her big break on as Eleven & were on the brink of moving back to the UK, they lost their house and moved in with cousins in Florida. Anyway, she goes on Stranger Things, and there are multiple interviews over the years to suggest that she’s financially supporting her parents & siblings. Her other siblings are moved around the country during this, and her oldest sister moves back to the UK to live with relatives. It’s obvious that she’s being oversexualized. In mid-2022, it’s revealed that her parents allowed Millie’s boyfriend, who was in his 20s, to live in their household with her.

This is in contrast with Noah Schnapp’s family. His mom is a marketing exec. He & his twin sister attended public school in-person (in the wealthy suburb of Scarsdale, NY) all the way through together. Both twins are in college now, at Northeastern & Penn.

Aw, poor kid. I hope things work out for her. She's a fabulous actress but I know early success can be really hard for kids whose families depend on them financially (see: Brittney Spears, Lindsey Lohan). I wonder if her soon-to-be-FIL will be able to help her manage things?

I don’t think so.

It might work out. Maybe it's PR, but Bon Jovi seems like a grounded guy who can help guide them.

What does his son do for a living though?

I think she's very pretty but no, I wouldn't say she's considered very pretty in the pop culture zeitgeist or whatever. She's considered to be a decent actor but kind of awkward and cringy.

Young marriage is pure and beautiful. You bitter battle-axes spam your projections all over this board. Give it a rest.

Although she lacks "straight guy appeal" -think: young Magot Robbie; she does very much appeal to woman as beautiful- (think: young Jennifer Anniston.)

For MC people yes, but for the rich? Money is no object. Divorce or not, have kids next year or not, travel or not, surrogate or not. Millie doesn’t have to fret over any of that.
