Here’s Brooke discussing the ads on Colbert recently.

In short: she didn’t think they were inappropriate.

And if you watch the clip, you can tell that she doesn’t want to be painted as a victim. She feels normal.

She was born I'm May of '65. She was 15 when it aired. Certainly 14 when the decisions were made, maybe when filmed. Keep in mind this was a different era.
