Post-Roe is hurting them but a lot of us thought they were in serious trouble in 2012 and many other elections.

They keep finding wedge issues. They keep hanging on.

They keep manufacturing wedge issues and idiots watch Fox news lie to them and support the manufactured BS.

Yup. It works, sadly.

Yes, it's the beginning of the end of the GOP, OP.

(not really.... but this is the answer you are looking for so I thought I'd oblige)

I'm not a republican, but i don't want the GOP to go anywhere. I don't want just one party. a healthy competition is essential to a functioning democracy. What i want is for the GOP to start trying to appeal to the middle instead of its extreme base.

Perhaps pro-life groups will be able to take advantage and try and get some pro-life Democrats elected. They can be like the NRA and endorse any Democrat that supports their issues.

Forced birth is the same thing as Republican, as are any and all anti life policies. If life truly mattered to Republican voters, they’d vote Democratic, something that many former Republican voters I know have come to realize. Harp on abortion all you like, but when you ban abortion despite every piece of evidence about why that’s bad, and you oppose birth control and you oppose women working etc etc etc… you’re not “pro life,” you’re forced birth, anti-women and pro death.

Those are nearly extinct.
And, new ones are NOT welcomed to the party.

Do you want the DNC to appeal to the middle instead of its extreme base?

I wouldn’t mind it.

It means that people would actually be forced to vote based on issues.

They will remove Womens voting rights before they back track on abortion.

Anti abortion is a seriously losing position. Who wants candidates that lose? Everyone respects you choosing whatever reproductive decision works for you but the vast majority will actually not tolerate you forcing your personal medical views on other people. It is simply not your place. Either accept this and find some pro choice candidates or continue to lose elections.

We all want two functioning parties. The GOP is not a functioning party right now. They need to eject the MAGAs/White Nationalusts and tamnp down the kowtowing to the "morals" of the Evangelical "Christians" and return to a conservative party. Unless or until that happens, we are stuck with Wacko's versus democrats.

Biden is a moderate liberal. The DNC caters to the middle/left of the country. Yes, there are progressives in the party who are further to the left, but that isn't where the Party is. And, as compared to the GOP who has abdicated completely to the fringe right, the Democrats provide a smart and viable option for anyone but the most extreme republicans. Reagan and Bush would both be Biden democrats today.

The right is actually imposing its stark MORAL position on the whole of the country, no different than the Taliban. Let's call it what it is.

Truth. And pro-abortion supporters are not welcome in the GOP.

DP. After the GOP, we need the Dem party to implode. They will land up eating their own without a GOP. The problem is will a smaller but even more extreme group come into play to fill some of the GOP void.
