That is BS. millenials have been job hopping for decades, 2 year stints or less, and they still get hired.

Really? I'm a millennial and it's often said on here and encouraged to stay at a job at least a year even if you hate it.

I would much rather hire a 60 - 75 year old who sticks around for 2 years and does great work, setting up the office for success after they move on, as opposed to a recent college grad or job hopper who just wants promotions but does mediocre work.

Because 2y > 11mths by more than 2x?

There’s job hopping and never really starting a job.

Remove graduation dates and all jobs that indicate you have more than 20 years experience from your resume
Spruce up your linkedin account. You have one right? That’s the first place I go when I want to check on a resume I’ve received. It better be solid thorough and appealing
Color your hair, beautify, work on makeup and wardrobe for your interviews. If you wear a boxy blazer statement necklace and slacks I immediately think you are too old, you are current
Then Get ready for interviews and phone screens- Watch your language…. Don’t drop words that indicate you are a boomer … one of my boomers says Young ‘uns. A Gen x would Never say that. Don’t drop industry terms from 1980. Eradicate and replace with current terminology. Google is your friend.
Once hired Do not leak your age your graduation date how long you have been married for the first 12 months on the job

Holy f the ageism in this advice is so very sad. Basically: wipe away any sign you are older than 50 and you can get a job. And this from an HR person- do you read that clause from the EEOC. The saddest part is this person is trying to help!
