Do you eat other family members’ leftovers

Um, no. That’s their food. If you want it, you ASK. My FIL pulls this kind of crap and I now let him know pointedly that our leftovers are ours, not his. I put labels on everyone’s food so he can’t “forget.” This is all after DH and I ALWAYS pay for dinner. If it’s something like Chinese, everyone shares everything. But no, he doesn’t get my leftover pasta from a night out.

Family-style leftovers (Chinese food, pizza) are fair game. Individual orders belong to the person who ordered them. If a family houseguest left food in the fridge we'd toss that, unless it was like a half club sandwich or something their used utensils hadn't been in.
