| Does Virginia have this requirement? |
No The only permit you need in VA is for concealed carry. |
Yes you are looking at this rationally. However to do this on the very day after a mass shooting where children died F Republicans |
This makes it more likely for a teacher or administrator to have a gun available to stop a shooter. Even more useful after the push by some to remove officers from schools. There was a Virginia shooting that was stopped by a student who got a gun from his car. |
Yes, the losers who go gun shopping after mass shootings are such high quality people.

Their votes are ignored by the fascists. Not sure why so many Republicans are okay with fascism. |
Do you not understand that even if a civilian “stops” a shooting that everything is still not ok? Thay killing another human will likely affect a person for life? That being shot at will traumatize all of the victims even if they survive? What s wrong with you people? This isn’t a movie! |
Anytime the "fascism" word is invoked here, it is evident that the post is from a partisan, unhinged Democrat. As has been pointed out, this law is no different than most other states. Just another thread that is intended to raise the outrage meter here to 10. |
Overton’s Window at work - one state does something extreme, thereby normalizing extreme actions for others. Did you jump off the cliff with the rest of the lemmings? |
Give it a rest. Uvalde put the “good guy with a gun” myth to bed. Do you really think an inexperienced teacher with a pistol has a chance against an intruder dressed in tactical gear using an assault weapon? |
Extreme? How is the NC law "extreme?" It isn't. It is very much in line with what other states do, including blue states. |
