Omg love the lamb fail.

Did people really bake lamb cakes? Is that a thing?

Strawberry glacé pie or lemon schaum torte (essentially a pavlova w lemon curd and whipped cream) or lemon cake pudding

We bake lamb cake! We found my mothers mold from the 1950s when visiting her one year so she gave it to us and now my daughter requests it.

For OP, I was going to suggest a jelly roll, which you can fill with jam and whipped cream or a lemon curd. It’s lovely and light and less work than many of the options posted.

Strawberry shortcake— with the sweet vanilla biscuit shortcakes; lemon bars or lemon meringue pie; Eton Mess.

Thanks all from OP! I’m going to go for a traditional carrot cake and probably try an olive oil cake for a dinner party we have the following week. Appreciate your input. Happy Easter!
