OP posted an old article right after an article about catholic abuse came out. My guess is that OP wants to tar more liberal alternatives to catholicism with the same brush |

Thanks for info
There is always room for improvement. I know our episcopal church has fired youth minister for much less than anything reported here . We have LGBQT support groups for youth and parents. We have at least two gay priests at our church both of whom are amazing people. However, I can believe that in more conservative areas that such troubling behavior may exist. We don’t live in social vacuums. It still pales compared to child abuse scandals in Catholic church but more work needs to be done to be truly inclusive. Thanks for highlighting this OP. We can’t address problems if we don’t know they still exist |
This is a good possibility |
Ranting atheist who hates all religion is a stronger possibility. |
Or someone who wants their religion to do better … As an Episcopalian, I was surprised and sad by the report findings. However, we can’t fix problems in the dark so appreciated OP bringing the vulnerabilities of GTLBQ people within the church to light … we have more work to do. |
This is my guess. |
