Bank transfers take too long!!

Wire transfers are fast but have a fee, ACH is slower. In my experience most banks get it in about 3 days. Some offer a faster 1 day turnaround, you may need to shop banks if this is important to you.

We keep most of our money in a HYSA but also have some in a savings account in the local account where we have our checking in case of a lump expense. Transfers at the same bank are instant.

Ally and Schwab take a day. Unacceptable.

Isn’t Ally a foreign bank? Like Hong Kong based? Could be a time zone/international regulatory thing

Are you too stupid to look up Ally or are you too stupid to know that Utah is in the United States.

No Ally is based in Detroit— it started as the financing arm of General Motors

By Detroit, you mean Utah?

A recent transfer from USAA to my Capitol One account took 4 business days.

I have wondered why the heck it takes so long. I transfer between Wells Fargo and Capital One/ Ally and it takes 3+ days.

I figured they're all just making money on my money in the middle of it, when I'm not being paid interest.

The worst was rolling over a 401k to another account. They had to send a check by snail mail (from bank to bank).

Are you serious??? A simple google search tells you Ally is in Detroit, Michigan, used to be GMAC the financing arm of General Motors. Are you actually accusing someone else of being stupid?

Ally Bank is headquartered in Utah. Not Hong Kong like PP claimed.
