Yes, or at least they used to. My grandma was a Chi O and she was super involved all her life. When she slipped into dementia, she occasionally thought she was being initiated again - or was initiating another member. It was hard to follow everything, but apparently the girls also had to take off their white dresses in front of all the chapter during initiation, too!

When Grandma died, my mom had to send her pin back to Chi O for some reason. It was fine because my sister and I had zero interest in joining a sorority and didn’t care about keeping the pin in our family. The pin had a skull on it. The whole thing seemed creepy.

oh good grief LOL well they may have done stuff like that but they do nothing now.
Most sorority initiations are totally lame and usually just involve holding hands and singing. (while fully clothed)
