Tell me if I'm crazy

My first IVF was unsuccessful. I had to wait for my next round (due to finances) and it took 4 months for my cycles to be regular again.
Personally, if the med were expired by only 1 or 2 months and they've been properly stored, then I would use them for the IVF cycle.

This is probably enough to sway me. I know we're only doing one cycle, so it's worth it to pay for new meds so I don't have to wonder if using expired ones screwed it up, but I really don't want further delays.

I absolutely would NOT do that unmonitored, but my very first IUI on 50mg of clomid was cancelled due to overresponse (7 follicles), so the idea of doing any medicated cycle without monitoring freaks me out.

don't do unmonitored, too risky and a waste of the meds. you can use the meds slightly past expiration date (i've done it multiple times with no problem), just save them for your real cycle.

The meds will be fine even a few months after expiration. My nurse told me this at SGF

Second those saying the meds will still be fine. You can continue to use them a few months later. Also, I would absolutely not go rogue and put yourself on gonal-f/menopur etc. on your own without monitoring. I have diminished ovarian reserve and yet, on one cycle with a particular protocol I overstimulated. I could have had bad OHSS if I wasn't being monitored and being told to lower my dose or cut off gonal-f completely. You don't really know how you respond until you do a cycle.
