Any experience with University of Tampa?

Only 62% 6-year graduation rate. By comparison, Salisbury University has a 72.2% 6-year graduation rate.

+1. Excellent description.

Yes! As someone who used to live in Tampa and in Reston, this is SPOT ON.

DeSantis is gutting higher education great idea great parenting

Not to mention a six week abortion ban and no birth control

You're an idiot. U of Tampa is a private school.

Florida state law on abortion and birth control doesn't apply to private school students? Cool.

OP,

We looked at U of Tampa back in 2019. We liked the campus and school and they were generous with merit, but it ended up not having my child's major, so she didn't attend. My daughter does go to a Florida public university. You should be very aware that housing is a HUGE problem near many of the Florida colleges, and it has been especially bad in Tampa the last few years. You are pretty much off campus after Freshman year and it is expensive. I have heard of people spending as much as $2K per month, although that may have been an outlier situation. I would join the parents' Facebook page for UTampa and really find out the details. That would be my biggest concern.
