I guess you haven't read any of the research on how goalies who play on turf have higher levels of leukemia.

They are recycled tires and they are full of heavy metals. There is one non-toxic field that I know of in the area, Nike Park. You can tell by looking at the pellets, the black ones are tires and toxic, the non-toxic ones are bluish green.

Mine played soccer and then 4 years of football. No concerns, no issues.

Are you looking for something to be concerned about?

Ya'll need to get involved when the school boards makes their decisions to replace the fields. Tell the school boards you want to go back to natural grass.

Most of the time it’s the other way - changing a grass field to a turf field. It’s expensive, but most people think it’s worth it.

The pros of turf far, far outweigh any cons. Real or imagined.

I'm especially amused by the Staph infection theory.

What imagined cons? The data exists and people can put two and two together with regards to playing in shredded tires

Is your kid a goalie? It’s the worst for them since they dive into the turf.

He sometimes plays goalie. He slide tackles a lot.

Is he a barefoot goalie? I thought they had to wear shoes on their feet.

I imagine it's more to do with inhaling the dust of those particles than your feet touching them.
