Can we please have a separate Forum for Parents with Special Needs and Disabilities?

Me too. The only difference is that they aren't anonymous.
But like PP, I've been shamed and blitzed for mentioning my disability a few times. I think/hope the kids with special needs forum is respectful because they're children but I've been taken completely off guard with some nastiness when mentioning my disability. And then you see a "The ADA should scaled back" post and...sigh.

Please report those posts because I will be brutal with anyone who acts that way.

PP here. Some FB groups allow anonymous posting. See if that’s possible on yours (is on mine). I am sorry you don’t always get the support you want in your fb group. That’s so wrong.

Ok thank you! It’s new to me so I’m not always good at advocating for myself there.

This is good to know. It's much easier though, to report a homophobe or a racist or sexist poster who is an offense to many, than one who is attacking you personally for this kind of reason.

I’ll take one for the team and post about my chronic illness if I know it’ll be for the greater good.

But I wonder: when I have a question about my illness impacting my kids, I usually put it in the parenting forum. Would health be a better one?

OP here. Thank you for going first. I find it hard to share initially, but if you start the thread, I will follow. Just, if you don’t mind posting here the link or name of the forum, once you do. I had the same question of where to post. I thought of posting under “Parenting -Special Concerns”. Whatever you decide, just let us know where to look for your post.
