It is annoying it spans four weeks. Why? |
My kid who is doing this is in 9th grade. I don't know when is most common for people to take health online. My kid decided to do it this spring because she wanted to preserve summer flexibility for vacations/camp, and she had a sense of her workload from the fall semester that made it seem like it would be manageable to balance the health workload along with regular classes now. She's not sure when she'll do the second semester of health; it's not yet available online, and she might choose to take it during the regular school year if she can't find another convenient time, but she's glad to be getting one semester out of the way. |
I think the problem is how late the 2022-23 calendar is. Tuesday 6/20 is day to finalize grades. They need the week to process reports cards and close out 2022-23 data. Then they have to switch to the 2023-24 school year, which updates grade levels, removes graduates, and updates attending school. Somewhere in that week the actual summer school enrollment is pushed to courses and teacher get access to begin planning. I don’t think they can start earlier than 6/28. They won’t push later because athletics starts that last week. |
