Our family, too |
| The only thing that would make the school name better is if their was a Po’Folks in the parking lot. |
| I didn’t apply because I could not stand how much of the admissions pitch was about outplacement! With K-3/8 brochures, etc. And some of the kids look way too young to be “free playing” at Volta with such minimal supervision. I’m often there and the youngest kids often just wander cry while teachers chat. Older kids seem much happier. It’s also a lot of $ for no outdoor space. |
We appreciate how much time and effort LFS spends on outplacement. For parents new to the territory, it makes the process less daunting. I think the guidance with outplacement is a plus for the school. Parents need realistic expectations and some schools beat around the bush about outplacement. I agree that the free play at Volta needs more supervision. That’s concerning to hear and should be brought up with administration. |
| Outplacement help is of course critical. But it shouldn’t be such a focus during an open house presentation, imo. Peer schools don’t do this. |
I haven’t seen much on the boards this year about outplacement from either school |
| Yes, we’ve also noticed there hasn’t been much posted about it. |
