LAMB AP's contract not renewed

Michelle is great. What can parents really do? Charis is not going to change her decision. Board didn’t seem receptive on the call tonight.

We need to show the board our concern.

It’s shocking this wasn’t announced to the parents yet.

I really like Michelle, she is one of the best communicators on the admin team and I think she really gets to know each kid on an individual level. She has had fantastic follow up with my kid.

She is not leaving immediately so it will be announced when they announce all staff departures at the end of the year.

Why let the most competent person on the team go? Very unwise.

Charis needs to go. If only for her openly hostile attitude towards the Latino community

It was also clear to me on the call that the Board has zero connection to the Latino community, and is totally out of their depth.

The chair of the board in particular was shockingly out of touch.

What does this look like?

Oh dang. I really really like her. That’s too bad.

But it’s obviously public information (posted on DCUM) so they should not have waited to announce.

She speaks spanish too.

Charis told everyone when she was hired she would learn to speak spanish. Not only has she not learned any spanish in all those years, she’s openly hostile and dismissive to Latin parents.

This is upsetting. We are at a different dual language charter and while the school isn't perfect, all of the admin speak Spanish.

She is the ED, but all the administrators do speak Spanish (the principal and APs).

The Board Chair speaks no spanish, has no kids at lamb, and zero connection to the Latin community. He’s there to pad his resume.

He is completely out of touch with the Latin community.

I don’t know about the rest of your claims but his children do go to LAMB. My child is in the same community as one of them.

Former LAMB parent. Pulled my kids to private when other lamb parents were obsessed with claiming the school was racist. Goodbye.

There are multiple parents on the LAMB board.
