Anyone else annoyed GDS didn't let you know ADMISSION LIMITS?

They should return everyone’s app fee at the very least.

This has got to be sarcasm or a troll.

GDS has more students than it is allowed under the agreement with the city (ok the ANC). GDS knew, but didn't file the reports that would have revealed this. OP thinks they will have to correct the over enrollment by accepting fewer students this year than last year.

This seems no so “woke” to trick people. Maybe GDS support of politically correct people just a convenient ruse!

OP believes that their DC would have been admitted had the acceptance rate been 8% but at 5% it wasn't worth their time and application fee.

Got it.

You still may get in

No, not annoyed.

I knew it was really hard to get in. Am I mad that they recently found out they'd have to enroll fewer kids, and didn't immedietly tell me that it would be even harder?
Of course not.
We'll see if they mention it in our rejection letter.

GDS has no intention of “cutting” back. The agreement was with the ANC which has the power of a neighborhood book club. It will still be hard to get in to but same as every other year.

So GDS scoffing at an agreement they entered is a positive?

Yes, that's what they've said. But the OP probably wasn't going to get in regardless.

That is the opposite of what they've said. They have publicly announced that they will be accepting fewer students this admissions cycle.
