Thinking of switching from private to Churchill for high school

OP here. I don't necessarily think Churchill will be better than his private. He likes his school but I'm finding that our friends with kids in the same grade and who attend public middle schools (not in our consortium but still) seem to be a bit farther along. I'm not very concerned about that but honestly, we don't have the kind of money that many in this area seem to have so the ROI concerns me.

I think it will depend on the private school and the classes at Churchill. I know several families whose kids have ADHD and have done well at Churchill.

If you can't afford the private school and want to save for college, that's a good reason to make the move. If you can afford private, and you and your child are happy there, I probably wouldn't move my child. If your child wants to make the move, then I'd probably try it.

Our children have been in public schools the entire way, but I don't think you can measure ROI solely on academics at a private. The smaller class size, EC, assistance in curating the child toward college, and other services are a benefit of private. It comes down to what is right for your child and your family and what you can afford.
