another detective show like Monk and Pushing Daisies…

You might try Imposters.

Poker Face on Peacock

I love the Mentalist but it definitely does have some gore (not too much, would be fairly easy to look away) and serial killer content (theme that runs throughout the entire show). I am pretty squeamish but enjoyed the characters and story enough that I could get past those parts, but ymmv obviously.

Castle was good and had tons of seasons.
Eureka on SciFi was fun.
White Collar and Psych

Longmire
House

Murdoch Mysteries
Brokenwood
Both of these have recurring characters that make the shows more enjoyable for me.

I suggested Grimm - and I LOVE Eureka and Warehouse 13. Resident Alien, too. Please, more people watch Resident Alien so that they don't cancel it.

Midsomer Murders (so, so good)
Inspector Morse (free week on BritBox) - watch before Endeavor
Inspector Lewis (he was Morse’s underling)
Endeavor (Prime or PBS)

I started watching Poker Face, which I love, and what came on after PF was Murder She Wrote. Maybe this means I'm officially and old lady, but I'm really enjoying it.

I also like all the British shows in the PP.

You might also like me scarlet and the Duke on pbs — I feel like there are other British crime shows that might work for you but I find many of them a bit grim.

NP. I think you and I, PP, are the only two people who watched "The Good Cop"! To the OP, "The Good Cop" was made by the same creator who made "Monk" so you might find some similarities there that you like. I enjoyed it well enough. Not super special but I liked Josh Groban and Tony Danza together as son and father. And yes, you did read that last sentence correctly and are not having a strange TV-themed fever dream.

I would also second the suggeston of "White Collar" from above. Pretty people, a super cleaned-up fantasy Manhattan. Diverting.

Agree with the PP that if you want detective but no gore or violence, maybe try British period piece detective shows. Modern British detective shows tend toward the grim (we watch a lot of British TV!). You might like the David Suchet "Poirot" (start with the early ones, the last series is quite dark though not gory), or if you're willing to try Kiwi TV, try "Brokenwood Mysteries."

I watched and loved it

The mentalist sometimes has gore.

I ended up having to stop watching it after a while because I couldn't get past the ridiculous amount of illegal stuff the supposed law enforcement agency did.
