Is posting a picture of a birthday party bad now?

It’s your page. You can post what you want. Posting other people’s kids has zero to do with it. It is your party.

Don't post pics of my kid without my permission

I actually don’t post often. I don’t have that many followers but the followers I have are my friends and many or all have kids the same age as mine.

I always post a birthday picture. I will not post a picture of the party.

If some of those people weren't invited, why would you advertise that you had a party and they weren't there? Just leave it at the over the top "you are my whole world snuggle butt thanks for making me a mommy" and call it a day.

Yes it is bad. And so gauche.

Social media is toxic.

I don’t post on FB at all anymore.

And even when I did, no I didn’t post bday party photos where someone seeing it could feel left out.

Why are you posting these photos at all? What is your “audience”?

Why do you feel the need to post your life?

You can usually post a close cropped photo of your kid at the party. From a shot like that — presumably of the kid eating cake or smiling or whatever — there’s no way for people to know what kind of event it was (with friends? Just family?) so they won’t feel bad.

Untag and get over yourself. Or don't leave your house.

You can post a picture of yourselves, but don’t do like my friend did yesterday and post a picture of just a few kids at a party there not even at your house. So braggy and rude.

Yeah these are not noteworthy things. The people who were there with you enjoyed it in real time and no one else cares about these types of activities except the handful of people who may get hurt feelings. I do have a few friends who post this type of stuff. It comes across as desperate and weird when they post a 30 pic album of a very typical birthday party at a bounce house place.

OP is addicted.

Like so many people, she is addicted to social media.

Dependent. Hooked.

It is literally like a gambling addiction to her. Or like a cigarette addiction.

I am serious. OP cannot stop. She literally has to keep posting things.

If you are not Facebook friends with these people how would they know? Just set your pictures to friends only. You should do this anyway.

Ok but why? Why not just send a cute pic to friends? Why post it?
