What is the radar anomaly but no object found mean? Can someone explain what is a radar anomaly? |
Your last statement is ridiculous. He is listening to the experts around him and following their advice. That’s what effective presidents do. |
Agree - he surrounds himself with qualified intelligent advisors and listens to them. That is solid leadership. |
Sounds to me as if they detected something but couldn't find it. |
It's China angry that the US patrols the South China Sea and the waters near Taiwan. They want Americans to feel like they're being patrolled by a foreign country just like how they feel. Of course it is absurd because airspace is sovereign while the waters patrolled are legally open waters. But I bet it is China acting up because of the SCS and Taiwan. China cannot project a navy near our shores for long so this is the cheap option.
We should park a damn aircraft carrier right near the Malacca Strait to send them a message. Also another carrier right near Taiwan. Then rotate them out and keep them there indefinitely. |
Qualified intelligent? I think that statement is relative to the observer. I'm not a Trump supporter but letting the balloons fly as long as they did was, imho, a strategic military and intelligence blunder. There is only one purpose for these types of balloons. My personal thoughts about how the WH, IC and Pentagon handled the balloons? You f'ed up and could've "collected your intel" after it was grounded. Google this theme about China - "if every corrupt official were arrested, there would be no one left to run it" or "corrupt PLA generals in China". You have to ask yourself, even if Xi isn't on the Russian crazy train, how many of his generals or 88 million CCP members have been bought off, and is Putin calling in his chips? Remember that if you're a corrupt Chinese official, is it better to outed by the Russians as corrupt and be jailed or killed by Xi's CCP, or feed intel to your "friends" with the little red envelopes and hookers? Not your problem, right? Again, I'm not a Republican anymore and not a Trumper, but Biden is not handling this well. Ironically, it's precisely because the U.S. has relatively weak anti-corruption laws and enforcement, that we're in the situation we're in now politically. I'm just not convinced that Biden has everything under control until more action is taken. Kamala needs to travel the country for the next three weeks. Call it a "road show" or "campaign trail". Whatever. Just get her out of DC and physically separated from Biden for a while, just in case I'm right about calling in the chips. If I'm wrong, no harm - you just started campaigning early, right? ![]() |
![]() “They,” meaning our government, does not tell you most things. It is known as the classification system. Why should they tell you? Just classify it. There is no penalty for over-classification. |
Another one on the Canadian/U.S. border. What is going on? Are they all Chinese and why won't they tell us? |
Please wow us with your grasp of intelligence collection. Getting a chance to observe an asset like this in flight is a unique opportunity to learn about it, an opportunity that would've been wasted by blowing it out of the sky with a surface-to-air missile just because a bunch of rubes in flyover country believe all the b.s. they hear on Fox News. |
I think Biden took a lot of flack for letting that balloon fly across the continent and now they are simply saving face. Notice there are no civilian photos. Macron is involved. Enough said. |
Sorry it's Northern Canada, but shot down by U S. jets. Still disturbing. |
I think this, yeah, ftmp. It's China being China. UAPs are visible and get people antsy. Even with their crappy-ish satellites, they still get more from that than these dumb balloons. Except for the psychological warfare which is going gangbusters...witness how easily Republicans ceded to political divisiveness instead of rallying behind the country and President. So mission accomplished, China. |
Then let me wow you with this concept - intel not acted upon is useless. And it works both ways. Letting the balloon gather and (presumably - since assume it would be difficult to jam) phone home to watch and learn what intel it's sending means that it is Mission Accomplished. That's it. It's done. It's over. They won't need that balloon anymore. If that information is used to make accurate targeting of anything / anyone; guess what. That's called an "intelligence failure". Hope I'm wrong. After all, I don't "grasp" intelligence collection at all. But I'm glad someone had their "unique opportunity to learn". |
Not a fan of the lizard people. |
