A lot of people don't eat bread, so I don't see why they should pay for it. We do, and I'm happy to donate a buck to charity. And I don't know why OP couldn't get deviled eggs, which are still on the menus of the GARs we go to. |
RESTAURANT RECOVERY FEE Our restaurants have been operating with extraordinary increases in the cost of doing business. High inflation, rising wages, and supply chain challenges have continued beyond the pandemic creating a difficult operating environment. We have reluctantly chosen to implement a separate 3.75% Restaurant Recovery Fee for 2023 with the hope that it can be eliminated in the future as conditions improve. We appreciate your support and understanding. |
| It’s probably because you have gotten used to what real home cooked food tastes like. The American chain type restaurants are mostly dishing up frozen stuff, Gordon foods/Sysco stuff. A lot is pre-prepared processed garbage food. |
Wow, that’s BS. Prices are already higher. Of course this chain is not a good member of our community. They campaigned so heavily against the meals tax that would have helped fund our schools and spread the costs to include nonresidents of Fairfax. |
Clyde's? I think of them as a DC chain, not Fairfax. |
There is no Clyde’s in fairfax county. They are all in dc, Maryland, Alexandria city and Loudoun (Broadlands). |
| We went to Artie's in November and the service was pretty bad - it was crazy busy and our server was nowhere to be found for most of the meal. |
| Carlyle has gone downhill big time. It used to be our go to family dinner out but the good quality has been bad. One example- kid got a burger that was burned top and bottom, the other kid got one that was completely raw in the middle (both ordered medium well). |
Sorry! I thought this fee was at GAR. |
|
| It’s the same everywhere. Fast food places have cut down their portion sizes. |
GAR is way better than Clyde’s. Clyde’s went downhill way before the pandemic. |
| I’ve been to Sweetwater and Mike’s American Grill recently. Food and service were good at both. |
I thought there was a Clyde's in Tysons? Am I thinking of the wrong restaurant? |
That one closed. |
