Hard to get, limited colors available right now. Most production is in the cheaper trim levels.

Not clear to what extent Toyota will refresh, since they just came out with the Grand Highlander.

Yes this is our experience too. We’ve contacted our local dealers - we’re in a largish west coast city. We want Platinum and a specific color and interior. I guess willing to wait. Hoping to not pay above MSRP. Don’t need financing.

Are dealers promoting any end of year deals that aren’t advertised online? We were going to look after Christmas but this thread is making me think it’s unlikely we will even find one.

I've contacted about 15 dealers in the area. No one has talked about any kind of a deal. Most places have said 6-8 months. (We're also looking for a Platinum with a specific color.)

Just updating that we got the car we wanted! Dealerships are trying to get rid of their cars before the end of the year.

Yes. No below MSRP, though. Lots of DMV dealerships had markups, but this one had "dealer-installed packages." Same-ish idea as markups, but at least we get something out of it.

There was a Toyota dealership 2.5 hours aways who'd do below MSRP, but we passed because driving there back and forth was too much. Got a Platinum in an interior color we wanted.
