My DD scored around 1150 on SAT and 30 on ACT.
DS got a 1480 on SAT and 34 on the ACT without doing any prep for either test. I think he submitted the ACT to colleges but I believe those scores are similar. |
Interesting... 1150 SAT = 23 ACT; 1480 SAT = 33 ACT. Big jump for your DD and a small but significant jump (99th%) for DS. |
Not brilliant on either, but a significant discrepancy: 1290 SAT, 30 ACT ; 31 super scored after 2 tests |
| 1490 SAT, 30 ACT. But ACT was heavily weighted down by Science. Probably could retake and up to 32 or 33. |
This wasn’t what was asked. |

My kid got a 1320 on the SAT and a 32 on the ACT. But what was really weird was that she only got a 600 on the verbal on the SAT and a 34 on the English of the ACT, and a 720 on the SAT Math and a 30 on the ACT Math.
She only submitted the ACT to colleges and got into several very good ones (William & Mary, Carleton and Grinnell). |
