Ugh. The parking there stresses me out. It’s so fake.

Maman is to die for. Get yourself a delicious coffee and pastry. Love the vanilla and lavender coffee.

Many have covered this already, but the best options are probably:
- The Wharf
- Downtown Bethesda
- Old Town Alexandria
- Pike & Rose
- Mosaic District

Beautiful - if only there was parking …

There’s tons of 2 hr parking. I go to Old Town all the time and never have a hard time finding street parking about 2 blocks from King Street.

Have you tried the underground garage in downtown Bethesda. There is always like 700 free spaces in it.

With Pike & Rose, I just cannot. Their garages are too cramped.

+1

+2 There is plenty of parking off King Street and parking garages/lots. Obviously, not pointing out my easy to find on street parking area near King St.

Georgetown would be a great option — but the OP wants to Metro or drive. Do you have any suggestions for the OP re: parking?
City Center might also be an option.

I think Old Town and Georgetown are the more interesting neighborhoods.
