APS - taking electives at career center

It is technically an elective, but practically speaking, it’s not elective.

FYI: this is not about W-L

At YHS, most 10th graders take AP world, euro or human geo. No one is taking AP US Gov until senior year.

Only 12th graders are allowed

If you take Anatomy, for example, you can only fill 5 periods at your home school, right? Even though Anatomy is 1 period, you have to have travel time. Is that correct?

What about something like PT, which is 2 periods? Do you only fill 4 periods? So, it would have to be your science credit or you would have to drop your world language. Am I understanding this correctly?

It shouldn’t be that hard for parents in Arlington to figure this out. I don’t say that as a negative to you, but at the process. And the answer cannot be just ask a counselor. When this many parents are confused, something is broken.

Our counselor does not write back in a timely manner unless you cc their boss.

There is a lot that's broken.

What about something like PT, which is 2 periods? Do you only fill 4 periods at your home school since a period is needed for transportation? Am I understanding this correctly?
