Ozempic is absolutely not approved for weight loss. And it won't be given that Novo also manufacturers Wegovy, which does have a weight loss indication.

Ozempic and Wegovy are chemically the same drug. Just different doses.

Try to get your script transferred to CVS - never had a problem with coverage or supply. I'm not T2, strictly weight loss. I'm in Fairfax, fwiw.

DP. I’ve also been getting it from a CVS in Fairfax but they’re all backed up now with no idea when they’ll get their orders in. Can you tell me which location so I can check there? TIA

I get ozempic through cvs caremark by mail

Wegovy has been approved for weight loss. It’s considered a Tier 2 drug. Mail order won’t cover it. I am told retail is $1,289 for 28 days. My fed plan says I would have to pay $386.85 for 28 days. If there is any availability.
Wegovy is better than Ozempic because it can escalate to a higher dosage.
FEP is paying for Ozempic.
It seems like drug companies are holding this class of drugs hostage due to cost or availability.

Ordering from Canada instructions:

I use Randy Moss at Push Health.

He has a savings code with mark's marine pharmacy and I think one other pharmacy in Canada.

It's around $350 for the biggest pen of ozempic

How much are you paying for ozempic with fep?

How much are you paying for ozempic with fep?

I’m paying $24 with my Cigna Insurance. Work for a large public school system.
The highest dosage for Ozempic is 2.0mg. Wegovy goes to 2.4mg. That’s higher, but not that much.

FEP here. For Ozempic I am paying the max cost for 90 days of name brand drug. I want to say $125 for 90 days. It’s nice to know I have a 90 day supply in fridge. I believe that with Wegovy being approved for weight loss, Ozempic will become readily available.
It feels like I’m in the Hunger Games! Haven’t been eliminated yet.

Make friends with your pharmacist! I’m on 10mg now. I call my pharm the day of my drs appt and ask him what he can get. He tells me what’s available and then I tell my dr what to send over. I haven’t gotten my Jan script yet so I don’t know if my savings card will still work or not.

DP. If you downloaded the savings card before 11/10 (I believe) you don’t need a T2D code.

No I don’t - I’m Obese, my BMI was 51 and is now 44. Still a long way to go though.
