I am guessing lowballing is the model. The lesson here is if you are considering selling a car to Carvana, begin the process a few weeks before you actually want to sell.
We've sold to Carvanna once and received a quote for a 2nd car. For the 2nd car, they would "refresh" the offer, but lower. It's not a lowball scheme. It's about something else.
