We do "pizza movie night" every Friday so we can relax together as a family.
https://www.kidfriendlydc.com is a great resource for things to do |
| We all sat down one night and each made a list of things we’d like to do as a family. iPads were used, research was done. Then DH and I went through all the lists and made a master list of things at least half of us wanted to do. Each weekend we do one of those. |

My husband had this book and it had this concept about making a list of “anchors” for the weekend, like, no matter what we do, we’re going to the Natural History museum next Sunday at 1pm. Prioritize that and plan everything else around it: chores, meeting friends, etc. |
| Also I try to be done with errands, cleaning and chores by noon on Saturday. Either by doing it during the week, doing it first thing, or outsourcing it. Example, we have a standing grocery delivery every sat morning between 9-11. |
| We also have a 10. If all 3 of us are together we like to hike, go out for lunch/dinner, go to a movie, or do stuff with friends with kids the same age. Christmas Eve we went to the Air and Space museum in Chantilly which we all enjoyed. |
That pediatrician appointment is just wack. Does she live in a magical world with no traffic and doctors appointments start on time? The rest sounds like good ideas though. |
