They did. I am not one to give credit, but they hosted a breakfast for them in October.

People love to hate on ACPS.

Why is the MVCC PTA sitting on over 100K?

Because they can.

Don't they believe in equity i.e. equal outcomes?

They have the most cash of all the PTAs in the city. It was raised for a reason, shouldn't it be getting used or given to other PTAs?

Visit the schools you are thinking about. People love to hate on ACPS, but we’ve had fantastic teachers at Brooks. I have taught in FCPS and APS for years and know my child’s education experience is at least on par with those counties).

I don't love to hate on ACPS. The failure of ACPS for my children is my lived experience and it is wrong for you to dismiss that. Have some compassion.

Brooks has some of the worst proficiency results for economically disadvantaged kids (the true measure of how a school is performing). What do you say to the parents of the 63% of kids who aren't proficient in reading at brooks? Or the 67% who aren't proficient in math? Do you tell them to stop loving to hate on ACPS and that your already privileged kid got the fantastic teachers?
