Where are your tweens/teens celebrating birthdays?

Big sleepover usually. My 15 yo has an October birthday so we did one of those haunted house things - she has mixed sex friendships so the boys stayed late after and I drove them home and the girls stayed.

Summer birthday kid did local amusement park

Top Golf when he was 12-13. For 14th he wanted to do a nice relaxed dinner, so he took 8 close friends to a nice restaurant.

We have a pizza oven in our back yard and hired a guy from the local pizza place to come over and teach the kids how to throw the dough and make pizzas. I thought they'd find it a bit babyish but they all got into it. Mini-golf has also gone over well.

Medieval times! I forgot about that place! GREAT IDEA.

NP and I love that place. They can eat with their hands and yell. It’s cheesy and fun for all ages.

Our latest teen birthdays were a few friends, one and family or just family - their choice. They have gone to Bowlero, dinner at Sakura, Top Golf, go karts and just had a sleepover.

^I will add that they have been invited to paintball, escape rooms and for the day skiing for friend’s birthdays and enjoyed those too.

Yeah parties pretty much ended after ES. We don’t even consistently do activities outside the family. We always go out to eat and sometimes they will/would invite a friend.

Six Flags after a sleepover with 3 or 4 friends. The year before she brought a friend on a family trip to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg. We also did a family trip to Orlando in lieu of a party one year. Skyzone was still a hit for my 11 year old.
