ugh! how is that safer, since it will direct River Road traffic to Albemarle in front of the school. Honestly that crosswalk on the South side of Albemarle and Wisconsin is probably the scariest in DC -- the entire intersection is unsafe, and I've seen people 2 girls hit there.
Also, that means people will have to left turn into the Container Store/Target parking lot, which is so annoying but I guess that means it will have no traffic turning right onto Conn except people exiting the garage. |
There is an unhoused resident in a tent at Wisc and Fessenden park, who hasn't been removed. |
Huh - neither of those things are true - you must be confused about what is being discussed here. |
Probably because it is NPS and not DC land. Laws are different regarding camping on Federal land, which is makes it harder to remove these encampments when they go up in NPS parks. While the Council has not stopped the mayor from bulldozing or otherwise removing any encampment on DC land. |
They have a right to be there. They do not, or should not, have a right to live there, or camp out there. |
Nope that park is DC land. I think probably the two people who have been camping there have been left alone because they've not been bothering anyone and generating any complaints. |
