That's what I thought but my kid and her friends got retail jobs at 2 different stores starting Dec 17-18 (they did apply and interview online before that). Keep it inind for next year...

yes I would like my son to return to college where I am blissfully unaware of his ridiculously late bedtime and wake up hours.

happy he has a 9-5 job already lined up for summer, lol!

I agree that having my freshman DD home is disruptive and the 19yo "know it all" attitude is grating for sure. But I'm glad she's had the time home to rest and recharge as the fall semester was tough. She won't be home again until spring break so I'm trying to enjoy the fun stuff and ignore the annoying stuff for a few more days!

I never went home for Thanksgiving. I used that time to work extra shifts.
