Considering how much of the council has mayoral ambitions, it's amazing how bad they are at simple politics. They needed to get her onboard before the plan, now she can accuse any of them of being 'soft on crime' if they challenge her. And that's despite the rise in crime happening while she was mayor! I'm even supportive of many elements of the reform (judges for prison-worthy misdemeanors especially).


And a response 'it doesn't take effect until 2025' doesn't really make political hay. If you want to make the law conditional on crime going down (or judges being appointed), feel free

Bowsers number one skill, and it is a formidable skill, is her ability to shift the blame for her failures onto others. And there has been some serious failures.
