Norwood feedback

Norwood parent here.

We think the school is great, happy our kids are there, and echo positive responses from other PPs.

To be balanced, the problems we see are the same problems we would expect to see at any private school - no place is perfect. All our friends at independent schools complain about something, almost no one moves their kids.

That’s what I was trying to say! Problems at every private school and public school. Be informed and know what to expect, what to ask about during admissions, and then make the best choice for your family.

My DC is killing it academically and feels they were very prepared for high school. Some teachers are stronger than others, but we feel the education was really good.
Most of the families we came across shared in our family values and beliefs. Also- it is much more diverse than our neighborhood public school.

Agree the academics are strong (and anecdotally, a friend with kids at both Norwood and one of the big 3, told me Norwood was stronger). My DS easily transitioned academically to his next school. Yes, some teachers are definitely stronger than others but imagine that’s the same everywhere. Personally, I find the diversity program too much but I imagine it’s no different to most schools. I do wish the grades were bigger as there’s not a lot of room to move around socially but that has only been an issue for one of my kids.
