My child was asked to travel to play in a tournament with a lower team with his club

My kid did this. He was AA asked to play in an B tournament. Had an amazing weekend and he helped them win the tournament. He's actually still friends with the kids he met during that tournament.

With our club, the coaches would recommend/seek a player most at the level of the lower team (ability or even age) - they won't bring down a ringer because of fairness issues.

My daughter is a goalie and often guests for tournaments. It helps that her clubs b and c teams don’t have girls who want to play goalie. She loves it and usually sees more action than in a game with her team. She also sees a lot of the same goalies on other teams that she plays during her regular season, so her club isn’t the only one getting goalies extra reps
